04.07.2015 Marina olympique, Lavrio

La marina olympique est très grande et nous sommes tout au bout, c'est-à-dire que nous sommes loin de tout et bien exposés au vent, mais cela a du bon pour nous raffraichir. Elle a aussi le privilège d’être la marina la plus chère de tout notre voyage, 50 € par nuit ! Mais c’est un bon endroit pour laisser le bateau à terre, alors on reste. Ajourd’hui, nous avons la visite de Raymonde, la sœur de mon amie Denise de France. Raymonde habite à Athènes depuis une tentaine d’année et je ne l’ai pas vue depuis 35 ans. Nous avons pris contact et elle vient nous voir avec une amie, Annie. Raymonde nous a proposé de rentrer à Athènes avec elle et d’y passer la journée de demain, c’est sympa et bien sûr nous acceptons. Nous allons en vélo faire des courses en ville, à Lavrio qui est à 2-3 km d’ici. Nous allons bien sûr voir le port à Lavrio, mais il est plein de charters, pas une place libre pour les visiteurs. Nous faisons nos courses à un supermarché Spar bien achalandé et rentrons. Nos invitées arrivent, nous sommes contentes, Raymonde et moi, de nous revoir et sympathisons tout de suite avec Annie. Nous déjeunons sur Maja, sous le bimini et mangeons un lunch presque scandinave, agrémenté de tzatziki (fait par Annie) et de bon vin blanc grec (apporté par Raymonde). D’après elles, l’été n’est pas aussi chaud que normal, 30-32 ⁰ est « frais » pour ici. Nous nous mettons au courant des enfants, rappelons de vieux souvenirs, parlons bien sûr de la situation grecque et passons un très bon moment. Jens est si gentil qu’il fait la vaisselle pendant que nous discutons. Puis, comme il fait chaud, nous allons en voiture à la plage un peu au sud d’ici, une belle plage de sable, assez populaire en ce samedi de juillet. L’eau est bonne et nous restons assez longtemps dans l’eau. Nous revenons au bateau, buvons un verre et partons tous ensemble pour Athènes en voiture, nous déposons Annie et arrivons chez Raymonde quand la nuit tombe. Son chien. Pelops, est très heureux de la revoir. Elle habite un quartier très agéable, calme, ombragé et, bonus, tout près du métro. Elle nous reçoit gentiment, nous dinons de tomates et poivrons farcis à la grecque et passons une bonne soirée ensemble, allons faire un petit tour après-diner pour reconnaitre le chemin pour aller à la station de métro Halandri demain, nous téléphonons à Denise puis nous allons nous coucher.

The Olympic marina is very big and we are at the end, that is to say that we are far from everything and well exposed to the wind which is good to refresh us. It also has the distinction of being the most expensive marina of our trip, 50 € per night! But this is a good place to leave the boat ashore, then we stay here. Today we have the visit of Raymonde, my French friend Denise’s sister. Raymonde has lived in Athens for about thirty years and I have not seen her for 35 years. We made contact and she comes to visit us with a friend, Annie. Raymonde offered to take us back to Athens with her tonight and spend the day tomorrow there, it's nice and of course we accepted. We ride to go shopping in town, Lavrio which is 2-3 km from here. We go of course to see the Lavrio harbor, but it is full of charters, not a place for visitors. We shop at a well-stocked Spar supermarket and ride back. Our guests arrive, we are happy, Raymonde and me to see each other again and sympathize immediately with Annie. We lunch on Maja, under the bimini and eat an almost Scandinavian lunch, a little greek too with tzatziki (made by Annie) and a good Greek white wine (provided by Raymonde). According to them, the summer is not as hot as normal, 30-32 ⁰ is "cool" for here. We exchange news of the children, recall old memories, speak of course of the Greek situation and have a good time. Jens is so nice he washes up to let us talk together. Then, as it is hot, we drive to the beach just south of here, a beautiful sandy beach, popular enough on a Saturday in July. The water is nice and we stay long enough in the sea. We return to the boat, drink a glass and go together to Athens by car, we take Annie to her house and arrive at Raymonde’s place when night is falling. Her dog, Pelops, is very happy to see her again. She lives in a very pleasant area, quiet, shady, and bonus, close to the subway. She welcomes us kindly, we dine of tomatoes and peppers stuffed the Greek way and spend a good evening together, go for a walk after dinner to recognize the way to go to the subway station Halandri tomorrow, we phone Denise and then go to bed.
