05.07.2017 W.V. Ijmond (un peu au nord de Haarlem/a little nord of Haarlem)

Bien dormi, pas de moustiques cette nuit. Nous partons à 9 h, le pont, proche, ouvre à 9 h 32, on a le temps. Nous sommes trois, une péniche de loisir, un voilier hollandais et nous. Nous nous suivons mais ils vont un peu trop vite pour nous, vers 10 h, nous les laissons partir et, quand un pont se referme après eux, attendons l’ouverture suivante. Nous sommes amarrés devant un grand magasin de vélos, de plusieurs étages. Le pont ouvre après 10 mn et nous passons. Nous allons à 4,5 nœuds (8 km/h) et même les grands-mères en vélo nous dépassent. Nous suivons un petit canal très tranquilles, avec peu de circulation.Nous arrivons à Haarlem, grande ville. A l’entrée de la ville, un pont est fermé. Nous nous amarrons sous les arbres (et en fait à un arbre) et attendons. La circulation de voitures et vélos est chargée et dire qu’ils vont arrêter cela juste pour nous … Mais une péniche arrive et là ils ouvrent, nous en profitons et la suivons de près. C’est une grande péniche et le canal est étroit et tourne. Le gars est expert, il manœuvre très bien son bateau. Nous le suivons pour passer deux ponts, mais au troisième, le pont se referme juste derrière la péniche, nous devons nous arrêter et attendre. Nous repartons après une demi-heure et une voix annonce, en hollandais et en anglais, qu’il faut s’arrêter après le pont, au ponton à gauche et payer. La ville de Haarlem demande 10 € pour un bateau de notre taille pour traverser la ville, ça va. Jens paye à un automate et nous mettons un auo-collant sur un hauban pour montrer qu’on a payé. Nous continuons et nous arrêtons de nouveau avant un pont d’autoroute. Nous sommes deux, le voilier « Susanne » et nous. Jens fait de l’équilibre sur une poutre pour aller parler avec les gens de Susanne. Ils confirment que le pont va ouvrir à 19 h 45 et il n’est que 15 h 15 ! Mais, pour nous remonter le moral, il dit que c’est très bien pour se baigner ici. Donc nous nous baignons tous les quatre, cela fait du bien, il fait chaud. Bien que ce soit proche d’une autoroute, c’est calme, vert et l’eau et bonne, 22,3 ⁰. Ensuite je fais le blog et nous dinons d’œufs avec oignons et poivrons. Un autre voilier arrive et se met à couple sur nous, « Golden Key ». A 19 h 45 le pont ouvre et nous passons. Je ne sais pas ce que les automobilistes pensent d’être arrêtés comme cela, mais d’après le gars de Golden Key, c’est bien accepté. Il faut dire que de nombreux Hollandais ont, eux aussi, un bateau. Nous nous arrêtons juste après le pont à une marina coopérative sympa. Nous nous mettons encore le long d’un long ponton sur le canal, comme hier. Petite promenade, en suivant une piste cyclable, à l’ombre dans une forêt, pas très folichon, mais cela nous fait un peu d’exercice.

We slept well, no mosquitoes last night. We leave at 9:00 am, the bridge, quite near, opens at 9:32 am, we have time. We are three, a recreational barge, a Dutch yacht and us. We follow each other but they go a little too fast for us, and at around 10 am, we let them go and when a bridge closes after them, wait for the next opening. We are moored in front of a bicycle store, several floors of bikes. The bridge opens after 10 minutes and we pass. We go at 4.5 knots (8 km / h) and even grandmothers on bike pass us. We follow a small canal very quiet, with little traffic. We arrive in Haarlem, a big city. At the town entrance a bridge is closed. We moor under trees (and actually at a tree) and wait. The traffic of cars and bikes is heavy and to think they will stop this just for us ... But a barge arrives and then the bridge opens, we take advantage of it and follow closely. It is a large barge, the canal is narrow and winding. The guy is expert, he maneuvers his boat very well. We follow him and pass two bridges, but on the third one, the bridge closes just behind the barge, we have to stop and wait. We leave again after half an hour and a voice announces, in Dutch and English, that we must stop after the bridge, to the pontoon to the left and pay. The city of Haarlem asks 10 € for a boat of our size to cross the city, it’s OK. Jens pays at an automaton and we put a sticker on Maja to show that we have paid. We continue and stop again before a motorway bridge. We are two, the yacht "Susanne" and us. Jens balances on a beam to talk to Susanne's people. They confirm that the bridge will open at 7:45 pm and it is only 3:15 pm! But, to cheer us up, they says it's great for swimming here. So we go swimming, thel four of us, it feels very good, it's hot today. Although it is close to a highway, it is quiet, green and the water is not cold, 22.3 ⁰. Then I make the blog and we dine of eggs with onions and peppers. Another yacht arrives and raft on us, "Golden Key". At 7:45 pm the bridge opens and we pass. I don’t know what motorists think of being stopped like this, but according to the Golden Key guy, it's well accepted. It must be said that many Dutch also have a boat. We stop just after the bridge at a friendly cooperative marina. We moor again along a long pontoon on the canal, as yesterday. Small walk, following a bike path, in the shade in a forest, not very funny, but we need to move a little.
