24.06.2017 Cherbourg

Vent, pluie, il ne fait pas beau. Nous restons au bateau la majeure partie de la journée. Jens va au marché, je vais acheter des cartes postales, c’est à peu près toute notre activité extérieures. Je vais sur les pontons en fin d’après-midi quand il ne pleut plus, j’en trouve cinq, plus les deux de premiers jours, cela fait sept, bonne récolte. A 19 h, Jean-Louis arrive, nous sommes contents de nous revoir et passons une bonne soiréen ensemble. Jens nous a fait un bon repas : salade (ça c’est moi), carré d’agneau et pommes de terre nouvelles au four, haricots verts frais et français, fromage et fraises à la crème. On se régale et on parle bien. Jean-Louis a un bateau dans le port d’Omonville et pêche beaucoup. Avec tous les courants forts par là, moi j’aurais peur d’être emportée où je ne veux pas. Après-diner, pris dedans il a recommencé à pleuvoir, je fais la vaisselle pendant que Jens range les vélos, fait le plein d’eau et va jeter la poubelle, puis nous nous couchons, nous partons tôt demain.

Wind, rain, the weather is not nice today. We stay in the boat for most of the day. Jens goes to the market, I ride to buy postcards, that's just about all our outdoor activities. I go on the pontoons late in the afternoon when it's no longer raining, I find five blue, plus the two I saw the first day, that's seven, good harvest. At 7 pm, Jean-Louis arrives, we are glad to see each other again and spend a good evening together. Jens made us a nice meal: salad (that's me), lamb rack and new potatoes in the oven, fresh French beans, cheese and strawberries with cream. We enjoy the meal and the company. Jean-Louis has a boat in the port of Omonville and is fishing a lot. With all the strong currents there, I would be afraid of being carried away where I don’t want to. After dinner, taken inside it started to rain again, I do the dishes while Jens takes the bikes on board, fills up with water and throws the trash, then we go to bed, we leave early tomorrow morning.
