22.04.2017 Sesimbra

Deuxième lessive, tour en ville et baignade, puis relax aujourd’hui aussi, journal puis nous sommes invités à la « party » sur le quai. Sympa, les quatre Allemands ont bien fait les choses, beaucoup de bonnes choses et de boissons. Nous ne pouvons manger trop, ni surtout boire trop parce que nous sommes invités ce soir chez Fernando, le collègue de Jens, à Setúbal. Nous partons en voiture à 17 h 30 et passons par le Parque Natural da Arrábida, un grand parc entre Sesimbra et Setúbal. Nous admirons la belle vue sur la mer et descendons, par une route si raide et étroite que la circulation alternée est réglée par un feu rouge, à Portinho, une jolie baie. Nous arrivons chez Fernando et Ana Cristina à 19 h 10. Très bon diner, coquillages en entrée, agneau au four, bons fromages et une mousse au citron en dessert, le tout accompagné, bien sûr, de bons vins portugais. Je ne bois pas, je vais conduire. Fernando nous explique que le Portugal est gouverné en ce moment par des socialistes, avec l’aide des communistes, d’un parti d’extrême gauche et d’un parti pro-animaux. Et cette coalition fonctionne et pourtant ces partis ne sont pas connus pour leur capacité à coopérer. Intéressant. Nous rentrons en nous perdant abondament, prenant une autoroute qui nous emmène dans la mauvaise direction sur 25 km. Enfin, nous arrivons à Sesimbra à minuit et demi.

Second laundry, ride to town and swimming, then relax today also, reading the newspapers then we are invited to the party on the quay. Nice, the four Germans did well, a lot of good food and drinks. We can’t eat nor drink too much because we are invited this evening at Fernando’s place, Jens’ colleague, in Setúbal. We leave by car at 5.30 pm and pass through the Parque Natural da Arrábida, a large park between Sesimbra and Setúbal. We admire the beautiful view over the sea and descend, by a road so steep and narrow that the alternating traffic is regulated by a red light, to Portinho, a pretty bay. We arrive at Fernando and Ana Cristina at 7:10 pm. Very good dinner, shells, baked lamb, good cheeses and a lemon mousse for dessert, accompanied, of course, by good Portuguese wines. I don’t drink, I'll drive. Fernando explains to us that Portugal is now governed by socialists, with the help of the communists, a far-left party and a pro-animal party. And this coalition is working and yet these parties are not known for their ability to cooperate. Interesting. We go back, getting lost seriously, taking a motorway that takes us in the wrong direction for 25 km. Finally, we arrive at Sesimbra at 0:30 am.
