Encore beaucoup de vent, cela dure. Un couple américain
passe sur le ponton et admire Maja. Ils ont aussi un voilier mais à l’autre
marina. Ils nous expliquent qu’ils ne consomment presque pas d’électricité et
qu’ils ont suprimé des paneaux solaires sur leur bateau. Et un peu plus loin, à
un autre quai, un autre bateau américain, lui, a tout le luxe imaginable. Notre
tour en vélo nous emmène cette fois vers le nord. La route longe la mer et suit
un beau quartier de la ville, belles maisons et beaux jardins en pente vers le « fjord ».
Au coin nord-est de l’ile, une grande usine de mise de thon en boites est en
ruine. C’était une des plus grandes de Sardaigne et d’Italie, le thon était
abondant et ils avaient un système de grands filets pour les pêcher. De là on
voit où on est passé avec Maja quand on est arrivé, entre deux iles. Nous rentrons, mangeons le lunch dehors mais
prenons le café dedans, le vent est vraiment fort. Dans l’après-midi,
Jean-marie et Agathe viennent voir Maja et apportent un très bon gateau aux
poires. Nous passons un bon moment ensemble, mais j’oublie de faire une photo.
En fin de soirée, nous allons en ville, c’est animé et des cris retentissent
quand une équipe de football marque un but, à la télévision à une terrasse de
café. Nous allons diner à un bon petit restaurant, en face du port de pêche.
Jens utilise son dictionnaire italo-danois, acheté lors de son premier voyage
en Italie en 1965! La météo est bonne et on parle de partir demain, peut-être
pour un grand bout.
Deux choses que j'ai oublié de dire: à Carloforte, beaucoup de gens font du vélo, jeunes et vieux. Deuxième chose: il y un service de ferries incroyables, deux compagnies qui vont et viennent presque tout le temps.

Still very windy, it is lasting. A US couple, passing on the
pontoon, admire Maja. They also have a boat but at the other marina. They
explain they hardly consume any electricity and have removed some solar panels
on their boat. And a little further, at another pontoon, another American yacht
has every imaginable luxury. Our bike tour takes us this time to the north. The
road is along the sea and follows a nice area of town, beautiful homes and
beautiful gardens sloping towards the "fjord". At the northeast
corner of the island, a large tuna factory in ruins. It was one of the largest
in Sardinia and Italy, tuna was abundant and they had a system of big nets for
fishing them. From here we see where we passed with Maja when we arrived,
between the two islands. We ride back, eat lunch outside but take the coffee inside,
the wind is really strong. In the afternoon, Jean-Marie and Agathe come to see Maja and bring a very good pears cake. We
spend a good time together, but I forgot to take a picture. By late evening, we
go into town, it's lively and cries resound when a football team scores a goal,
on television at a sidewalk cafe. We dine at a nice little restaurant, opposite
the fishingharbor. Jens uses his Italian-Danish dictionary, bought during his
first trip to Italy in 1965! The weather forecast is good and we are talking of leaving
tomorrow, perhaps for a long leg.
Two things I forgot to tell: In Carloforte, many people ride a bike, young and old. The other thing is that there an incredible service of ferries, two companies coming and going, almost all the time.
