07.11.2015 Kaş

Nous voyons partir à 10 h le « Meis Express », le bateau qui relie Kaş (au fait, cela se prononce Kash) à l’ile grecque de Meis, en face. Jens voudrait bien y aller avec Maja mais, strictement parlant, on n’a pas le droit. Il faudrait rendre notre « transit log » turc et refaire un « transit log » grec, puis même opération dans l’autre sens quand on revient. C’est beaucoup de paperasserie (et d’argent) pour seulement quelques heures, ou même quelques jours là-bas. Moi, j’irais bien avec le Meis Express. On verra. Petite promenade en ville, allons au bureau du tourisme pour avoir un plan, faisons quelques courses et allons boire un thé. Nous marchons pour aller nous baigner au camping de Kaş, ils ont aménagé une plateforme et une échelle pour se baigner. En été, cela doit être réservé au camping, mais maintenant personne ne nous dit rien et nous prenons même un bain de soleil … en novembre ! L’eau est à 22 ⁰. Nous rentrons déjeuner au bateau et en arrivant sur le quai, on entend un concert de klaxon. C’est un mariage qui arrive. Toute la noce descend de voiture, un petit orcherstre joue et les gens dansent un peu. La mariée est en robe blanche mais a la tête toute couverte d’un voile rouge a pailletes, même devant le visage. Puis ils repartent en klaxonnant bien fort. Un peu plus tard, nous allons nous baigner à une toute petite plage à l’est de la ville, mais elle est déjà à l’ombre et l’eau n’est qu’à 18 ⁰, heureusement je trouve quelques jolis bouts de verre. Nous rentrons, je finis le long blog d’hier (la randonnée) et Jens met le carré d’agneau au four, nous avons des invités ce soir. Kristian et Lene arrivent à 19 h, nous prenons un kir dehors mais rentrons diner dedans. Nous passons une très bonne soirée ensemble et nous leur souhaitons bon voyage de retour au Danemark, ils partent demain, nous avons été très heureux des bons moments passés ensemble. Attiré par la bonne odeur de la viande, un visiteur, derrière la fenêtre, suit avec intérêt le déroulement du diner.

We see at 10 am the "Meis Express", the boat that connects Kaş (which is pronounced Kash) to the Greek island of Meis just in front of the bay. Jens would like to go there with Maja but, strictly speaking, we are not allowed to do it. We would have to give back our Turkish "transit log" and ask for a new Greek "transit log" and same operation the other way when we return. That's a lot of paperwork (and money) for only a few hours or days there. I would like to go with the Meis Express. We will see. Stroll in town, we go to the tourist office to have a plan, do some shopping and drink tea. We walk to go swimming at the campsite of Kaş, they built a platform and ladder for swimming. In summer, it must be reserved for the campeurs, but now no one says anything and we even sunbath ... in November! The water is 22 ⁰. We return to the boat and arriving on the large quai we hear a horn concert. It is a marriage. The whole wedding go out of the cars, a small orcherstre plays and people dance a little. The bride is wearing a white wedding dress but her entire head is covered with a red veil, even in front of the face. Then they leave, honking loudly. Later, we go to swim at a small beach to the east of the city, but it is already in the shade and the water is only 18 ⁰, luckily I found some nice pieces of glass. We go home, I finish the long blog for yesterday (our hike) and Jens puts the rack of lamb in the oven, we have guests tonight. Kristian and Lene arrive at 7 pm, we take a kir outside but go in to have dinner. We spend a very nice evening together and we wish them good journey home to Denmark, they leave tomorrow, we were very pleased with the good times spent together. Attracted by the meat smell, a visitor, behind the window, is following our dinner with interest.ş
