6,6 ⁰ ce matin, c’est le record de froid et d’après les gens d’ici ce n’est pas normal, c’est rarement si froid. Nous avons rendez-vous à 14 h à Vila Real de Santo Francisco, en face, au Portugal, pour sortir Maja de l’eau. Jens fait quelques courses, paye la marina et nous allons marcher un peu en ville, ici à Ayamonte, le matin. Beaucoup de monde dehors, surtout sur la place, les adultes bavardent et les enfants jouent. Le jouet favori, pour le moment, est une toupie, tous les gosses en ont et certains sont bons pour les faire tourner et même les reprendre à la main sans qu’elles s’arrêtent de tourner. Lunch au soleil, sur une terrasse, deux tapas chacuns et cela suffit puis nous partons pour Vila Real. Il fait très beau, pas de vent et la marée est haute. Jens n’est pas en forme, il a très mal à une dent. Nous arrivons là-bas à 14 h juste et nous amarrons au quai, nous descendons les vélos et après, nous sommes spectateurs, le personnel prend Maja en charge. Ils sont trois: Lucia,la jeune femme qui parle anglais, Claudio son mari et un employé. Lucia tient la corde, Claudio plonge pour placer Maja bien dans l’axe du chariot et l’employé conduit le tracteur.Tout se passe bien et le tracteur recule en tirant Maja sur le chariot. Ensuite, l’employé lave Maja avec un jet à haute pression. Elle n’est pas très sale, juste des petites algues vertes. Puis il recule encore, se met bien dans l’axe du berceau et avance. Quand Maja est bien en place, ils travaillent à mettre des pattes et à bien caler tout cela. Ils travaillent bien, prennent leur temps et à 17 h, Maja est dans son berceau. Le soleil a disparu et il fait froid. Pendant que Claudio et l’employé travaillaient, nous étions dans le bureau avec Lucia à faire tous les papiers et à bavarder. Ils ont commencé cette entreprise de gardiennage de bateaux en Avril cette année, c’est tout nouveau. Elle nous demande si on veut payer par carte, Jens dit oui. Elle nous raconte que souvent les Portuguais et les Espagnols ne veulent pas payer par carte et lui demande de payer en liquide … mais sans la TVA. On a entendu parler d’autres entreprises de gardiennage qui ne font pas payer la TVA et où on doit payer en liquide. Eux sont honnêtes, tout est déclaré et ils font un bon travail. Et pour nous, cela ne parait pas cher. Donc Maja va rester ici jusqu’à fin Janvier. Nous montons chez nous, sur Maja. J’avoue que je n’aime pas beaucoup cela mais Jens me jure qu’il n’y a pas de risque que le bateau bascule et je dois le croire. Nous passons une soirée calme, Jens a très mal à sa dent et est plutôt patraque.

6.6 ⁰ this morning, the record, and local people say that it’s not normal, it is rarely so cold. We have an appointment at 2 pm in Vila Real de Santo Francisco, in front, in Portugal, to take Maja out of the water. Jens does some shopping, pays the marina and we walk a little in the town here in Ayamonte, in the morning. Many people are outside, especially on the square, adults are chatting and children play. The favorite toy, for the moment, is a spinning top, all the kids have one and some are good to rotate them and even take them by the the hand without them stopping turning. Lunch in the sun on a terrace, two tapas each and that is enough then we go to Vila Real. The weather is very nice, no wind and the tide is high. Jens is not in shape, it has a very bad toothache. We arrive there at 2 pm and we moor at the dock, we take bikes down and after that we are spectators, the staff take charge of Maja. They are three: Lucia, the young woman who speaks English, her husband Claudio and one employee. Lucia holds the rope, Claudio dives to place Maja in the axis of the trailer and the employee drives the tractor.Everything goes well and the tractor starts pulling the trailer with Maja on it. Then the employee washes Maja with a high pression hose. She is not very dirty, just little green algae. Then he backs again, to put Maja in front of her cradle and advances very slowly. When Maja is in place, they work to put up legs and wedge it all. They work well, take their time and at 5 pm, Maja is in her cradle. The sun has disappeared and it is cold. While Claudio and the employee worked, we were in the office with Lucia to do the paper work and to chatt. They started this yard in April this year, it's all new. She asks us if we want to pay by card and Jens says yes. She tells us that often the Portuguese and Spaniards don’t want to pay by card and ask her to pay cash ... but without VAT. We heard about other yards that don’t pay VAT and where one has to pay in cash. Here, they are honest, everything is declared and they do a good job. And for us, it seems quite cheap. So Maja will stay here until the end of January. We climb on board on Maja. I confess I don’t like this very much but Jens swears there is no risk that the boat will tip and I have to believe him. We spend a quiet evening, Jens’s tooth is hurting badly and he is not in good shape.
